Five writers, whom all are having wonderful years for their respectable careers, attended the “It Starts With a Script” Screenwriting panel at the 28th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival this year. One of the writers, Stephen Chbosky, was there talking about the film adaptation of his novel, Perks of being a Wallflower. While we were there covering the panel and the festival, Chbosky gave us a quick, yet secretive update on the possibility of bringing back one of the best cancelled-too-soon shows on television, Jericho.
Are you considering reviving Jericho with Netflix or Hulu?
You know WME (William Morris Endeavor) Agency, who represents me, Jon Turteltaub and many other people, and they’ve been talking to Netflix and you never know. I can’t say what it will be in season 3, but I’m excited for the new developments.
How would you continue the storyline?
Well, if you really, really want to know about season 3, the best thing would be to read the comics. That tells a better story.
Current rumors indicate either a season 4, which would continue directly after the season 3 Jericho comics, or a feature film that was speculated about early last year.
