Much Ado About Nothing
Right after finishing filming The Avengers in the summer of 2011, Joss Whedon decided to opt out of his planned Italy vacation to film a black-and-white adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at his home in Santa Monica, CA in only 12 days! Most directors wouldn’t even dream of doing such a thing, but then Joss Whedon is no ordinary director.
He gathered up some of his closest friends like Nathan Fillion, Amy Acker, Tom Lenk, Alexis Denisof, and Clark Gregg, as well as some newcomers like Nick Kocher, Brian McElhaney and Romy Rosement, and many more, to film this hilarious modern interpretation of an otherwise bleak, dramatic play.
