The CW is quickly becoming the comic-book network with their hit show, Arrow, and it’s upcoming Flash spin-off; now the network has announced they are developing a new drama based off the DC Comics hero, Hourman.

Hourman centers on a brilliant-yet-troubled pharmaceutical analyst who discovers that the visions that have plagued him since childhood are actually glimpses of tragic events occurring one hour in the future. Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way.”

Michael Caleo will write the script and executive produce along with Dan Lin of Lin Pictures and Warner Bros. Television. The series does not yet have a production start date or premiere date. It is likely now that the network will have it’s own version of the Justice League of America, or at least the Justice Society. Instead of doing what Smallville did and have all of them in one show, they seem to be putting them in their own shows and possibly teaming up every now and then.

Of all the DC characters…they choose this guy? Although it’ll never happen I just a new Superman series to piggyback off Smallville with the same cast. But even then there’s Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman needs a good one…there’s a pretty big list of more deserving and more recognizable heroes to use.

I agree. But now that they’re introducing the League of Assassins in Arrow, I’m interested in what kind of villains they can pull off. Maybe Professor Darrk, or The Sensei.

Really ? Hourman……….I can name at least 20 or so DC characters that are way more interesting and would make for a better show.

I”m a big JSA fan and even I don’t think this a good idea.
