Yoshida Disappointed By Low PS4 Reviews

By  |  6 Comments

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida says he’s disappointed with the low PS4 reviews, but still remains optimistic for the future.

Shuhei Yoshida of Sony Computer entertainment

“Yeah, it’s disappointing to see some of the low scores,” said Yoshida. “I haven’t spent enough time reading reviews, but I would characterize them as mixed. And with this launch there are lots of games coming out, so the media must be very busy going through the games quickly, and especially since the online functionality wasn’t ready until in the last couple days. So we have to look at how much time they spend on what aspect of the games and how that may be contributing to some of the lower scores.

“It’s disappointing but I don’t think it’s worrisome for the launch of the system. I’ve played through all of our games, Killzone, Knack and Resogun, and I totally enjoyed playing through these games. I’m now on my second run of Knack and Resogun at a higher difficulty – these games really grow on you when you play more. I’m very confident that once you purchase these games and play, you’ll be happy that you’ve done so.”

Have to wait until more good games are out. There isn’t much of a line up from either Sony or Microsoft.

These new consoles dont do anything for me. I mean yes they have more bells and whistles but in the big picture is it worth spending that much more money on a couple more bells and a whistle that stops whistling just after you buy it? Come on when are these greedy money hungry people gonna say one day “Man I want to give back to the faithful fans and not bend them over to make two dollars more instead of just one dollar?

The console is amazing however i was extremely let down when i realized i could no longer put my own movies and music on the system from an external hard drive… While i game a lot the ps3 was also my home media device. The ps4 is now solely for gaming. I have no desire to use a sony video app to pay to have movies and shows i already own saved on my device. Not cool sony. Not cool at all.
