Disney Interactive Studios announced today a new free-to-play Star Wars space combat game Star Wars: Attack Squadrons, a 16-player dogfighting game featuring “iconic Star Wars ships”.
This comes half a year after Disney shut down the iconic LucasArts gaming studio and announced a multi-year, multi-title agreement with EA to produce several Star Wars games. Unlike the already announced Star Wars: Battlefront by EA DICE, Attack Squadrons will be made by Disney’s in-house gaming studio, Disney Interactive.
Star Wars: Attack Squadrons will go into beta in 2014.
